Earlier this week, daily fantasy sports was ruled as a game of skill, keeping it legal in New York. In addition, we also have a list of operators set for the iGaming launch in Ontario on 4 April. There is new meeting and convention space coming to a downtown Las Vegas property, a new sportsbook open at a Louisiana casino and changes coming to Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.

Let’s begin with some expansion in Las Vegas:

5. New meeting and convention space coming to Circa Resort & Casino
Circa Resort & Casino, downtown Las Vegas’ first new resort in four decades, will debut 35,000 square feet of meeting and convention space this September.

“As meetings and conventions make their grand return to Las Vegas, we’re excited to introduce our stunning new event spaces to meet this moment,” said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa. “Since our opening, we have been working tirelessly to meet this next phase of growth and provide a remarkable experience for meeting planners and attendees. At our core, we love to throw a great event, and we’ve thought through every detail to help you do that on any scale, with our resort as your backdrop.”

Available to book immediately at the downtown Las Vegas casino resort, the property will offer groups top-tier audio and visual capabilities and customizable spaces for groups of up to 1,000 guests.

Circa’s meeting and convention offerings will feature a ballroom, breakout rooms and banquet space, adjacent pre-function space and a robust 1,600-square-foot outdoor terrace.

4. Foxwoods Resort Casino making changes for 30th anniversary
Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced another round of exciting renovation projects on the heels of last month's 30th anniversary.

These new plans include the opening of a Sushi By Bou restaurant and one-of-a-kind sushi suite, the re-opening of Wingstop, a new VIP Players Lounge located in the former Veranda Café, CardVault, a retail experience for sports cards and collectibles, and an expansive employee only food court.

CardVault is a retail experience designed for buying, selling, trading, grading and consigning sports cards and collectibles. The venue will feature a massive walk-in steel vault, housing some of the most sought-after cards displayed in expansive see-through cases. Fans will be able to buy, trade and sell cards from various sports leagues, including the NFL, MLB, NHL, as well as purchase premium sports collectibles and unique artwork.

Foxwoods' newest dining option, Sushi By Bou is a uniquely designed dining space on the concourse and will offer a private sushi dining experience with its Sushi Suite, an addition slated for a completely reimagined hotel suite in the Great Cedar Hotel.

In February, Foxwoods celebrated its 30th milestone anniversary by announcing the addition of Great Wolf Lodge at Mashantucket, a new Rainmaker Expo Center and a High Stakes Bingo Hall.

3. New DraftKings Sportsbook opens at Hollywood Casino in Baton Rouge
CQ Holding Company and DraftKings announced the opening of a temporary DraftKings Sportsbook location at Hollywood Casino - Baton Rouge. This is the second collaboration between DraftKings and CQ Holding Company, which operates DraftKings at Casino Queen in East St. Louis, Illinois.

The temporary DraftKings Sportsbook at Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge offers Louisiana sports fans ages 21 and over an in-person sports betting experience, including 20 self-service kiosks and three over-the-counter sports betting ticket cages.

Construction on a permanent DraftKings Sportsbook located inside of the Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge is currently underway.

2. DFS deemed a game of skill in New York
The New York State Court of Appeals came to the conclusion on Tuesday that daily fantasy sports is considered a game of skill rather than a game of chance, making it legal in The Empire State under current law. It was a close 4-3 vote in favor of daily fantasy sports.

In 2016, a lawsuit was brought forth by four New York residents who believed that daily fantasy sports was a form of gambling and it therefore violated the state's constitution.

Tuesday's decision puts an end to that debate and confirms that daily fantasy sports are seen as games of skill in New York and are not a form of illegal gambling.

1. Operators announced for iGaming in Ontario
On Wednesday, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario released a list of 16 operators that will launch online platforms when the iGaming market launches on 4 April in Canada’s most populous province.

Beginning 4 April, private gaming operators that have registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and have executed an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario can begin offering their games to players in Ontario.

There are 16 operators that have been approved to launch in Ontario by the regulator in Ontario. In addition to the operators, 41 suppliers have been registered and over 700 games are certified for use in the province to date. Here are the 16 operators:

Annexio (LottoGo.com), BetMGM, Coolbet, FanDuel, Fitzdares, bet365, LeoVegas, WSOP.com, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, PointsBet, Rivalry, Royal Panda, Rush Street Interactive (BetRivers Ontario), theScore, Unibet and 888.

"We’ve been working closely with all that have applied to join the market. Not every operator will be ready to launch their services on day one. Some are more ready than others. This means Ontario’s new iGaming market will steadily expand in the weeks and months following April 4th," the AGCO Communications Team stated.
